Dr. Marja Salminen grew up in the small Northern Ontario community of Whitefish. She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario in 2013. In 2018, she earned a Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, graduating with honours. During her clinical training she completed an ocular disease and therapeutics externship at the Eye Associates of Pinellas in Florida, where she gained valuable experience in the management and treatment of ocular diseases. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Salminen lives in London with her husband, and they enjoy biking, gardening, and hiking.
